As a part of the project, an Integrated Audit of the city’s 167 Dry Waste Collection Centers (DWCCs), built by BBMP in 2012, was conducted with a selected team of 27 interdisciplinary professionals. The first of its kind approach, this collaborative team, anchored and curated by Sensing Local, went on to re-vision the dry waste management system of the city and put together strategies and solutions for -

Sustainable inclusion of marginalised workers
A report titled ‘Re-visioning Bengaluru’s DWCCs: Integrated Audit and strategies for streamlining the system’ was submitted to BBMP, which directly informed the creation of a detailed action plan for Bengaluru’s Dry Waste Management.
